A miscellany of past sights such as signalboxes, running-in boards, stations and bits 'n' bobs of railway furniture from mainland U.K. railways.

I've never been a prolific photographer but I do take the occasional steamy pic with my digital camera as shown in this small collection. I just wish it wouldn't rain every time I do so.

Ilford, Southern, London Transport, the North West of England and much else for the lover of Britain's rich heritage of electricified railways.

The earlier images in this set were taken in 1950 whilst the others are probabl;y all from the sixties. The three classes of loco, A1X, E1 and O2, are all represented here together with some rolling stock images and a bit of infrastructure.

A recently acquired pile of poor negatives elicited about 10% that were of any use to me. Just over half of them were mysteries to me but viewers have kindly provided a wealth of data which has now been included in the captions. A good variety of archive images of steam locomotives at Victoria, Waterloo, Paddington, Euston, King's Cross, Broad St. and Liverpool St. There's even a typical bus shot at Victoria (an STD) from the period and a BR(W) gas turbine loco.

This selection contains a variety ranging from a GWR railcar in 1956 to Deltics, archive and preservation eras and even a Derby DMU in South London!!!

24 images, mostly archive, of BR Standard steam engines from the period 1956 - 1968 and 1991. No Clans or 84xxx's this time around but included are shots of David Shepherd's locos en route to Longmoor in 1968.

Includes Bo-Bo electrics, a couple of EMU's, ex-GWR Pannier tanks, service rolling stock, a crash scene and even a good covering of snow!

HST's @ Slough, Charlton (Soms.) and Yeovil.

All but one of the delightful LBSCR Marsh H2 Atlantic class of locomotives in most of the livery variants.

Archive SNCF steam and electric trains @ Étaples, Nice and in Holland.

Unless otherwise stated all the images in this collection were taken in close proximity to King's Cross.

These two locomotives were introduced with the intention of providing the future motive power on former LMSR metals but were found to be underpowered. They had a stint on the lines out of Waterloo in the early 50's about which I know little although I do remember seeing one.

They returned to the WCML where they survived for a surprisingly long time despite being non-standard and underpowered. They ended their days mostly on semi-fasts from Euston to Bletchley as depicted in one of the colour images in this collection.
